Student engagement and exchange between Ashoka University and ACPET constitute a vital component of ACPET’s research and knowledge ecosystem. Through student internships, capstone projects, guest lectures on ACPET’s expertise in energy and climate-related domains, and the joint co-supervision of undergraduate theses within Ashoka University’s four-year B.A./B.Sc. (Honours) and Honours with Research programs, ACPET actively fosters academic collaboration and experiential learning. These initiatives reflect ACPET’s commitment to integrating its research- and policy-driven mission with Ashoka’s educational objectives, offering students a dynamic platform to engage with real-world challenges in energy- and climate-related issues as they prepare to enter the job market.
Internships
In 2025, ACPET hosted five student interns from Ashoka University as part of the university’s requirement for all students to earn either two or four compulsory internship credits.
These five students were selected based on their passion for sustainability, policy, and the future of clean energy in India. For over six weeks, they worked closely with ACPET’s teams on live projects that contributed towards to shaping an equitable energy transition for all: research on the coal economy, creating an app for , climate taxonomy addressing climate finance, and the role of critical minerals in sustainability.
